How to sew6 steps
  1. Cut and markCut the outer fabric and the lining from the same pieces; cut the rib with the stretch along its length. Mark the pockets and the notches.
  2. Welt pocketsFold the welts, sew them on the slanted marks, cut between and into the corners, turn the welts through, set the bags and close them round.
  3. Shoulders and sleevesSew the shoulders. Sew the zip pocket on the left sleeve, then set the sleeves in flat.
  4. Side seamsSew the side and underarm seams in one. Make the lining the same way.
  5. RibFold the rib pieces in half lengthwise. Stretch them to fit and sew the cuffs to the sleeve ends, the band to the hem and the collar to the neckline, in quarters.
  6. Zip and liningSew the separating zip to the front edges, from the hem band to the collar. Sew the lining to the zip tape and the rib, turn through and close the opening.
