How it works
  1. MeasureStart from a standard size and height, then overwrite with your client's measurements and save them as a profile.
  2. DraftSet the ease, lengths, shoulder and sleeve. Click any line on the pattern to type the length you want.
  3. Grade and exportGrade the edited block into a size run, then print tiled A4, plot at A0 or send DXF to CAD and CLO 3D.

On the bodyFront and back

Each pattern is drawn on a figure built from the same measurements, so a longer coat, a wider sleeve or a deeper collar shows up as you type.

Browse all of them in the pattern library before you open one in the editor.

Questions
Which measurements does it use?

Height, chest, waist, seat and neck, nape to waist, scye depth, across back and across chest, shoulder and arm length, bicep and wrist, and for trousers outside leg and body rise. Each block only asks for what it needs.

Can I cut straight into good fabric?

These are foundation blocks. Sew a toile in calico first, check the fit, then save the corrected measurements to the client's profile.

Where are my measurements stored?

In your browser while you work. When you save a pattern to your account it is stored with it, and only you can open it.

Can I open the patterns in CLO 3D?

Yes. Export DXF-AAMA from the editor, then in CLO choose File, Import, DXF (AAMA/ASTM) with the scale set to millimetres. Each piece arrives as its sewing line with corners and curve points, notches, grain line and name, ready to sew; add seam allowance in CLO. Pieces cut on the fold come unfolded. The same file opens in Gerber, Lectra and Optitex.

Can I use the patterns commercially?

Yes. Patterns you draft in the studio are yours to sew from and sell.

How do I print at the right size?

Set the print scale to 100% and turn off fit to page. Then measure the test square on page one. It must be exactly 10 by 10 cm.
