- Cut and markCut every piece with the grain arrow along the selvedge. Mark the notches, the darts and the pocket positions.
- InterfacingFuse interfacing to the waistband.
- DartsSew the darts from the waist to the point and press them towards the centre.
- Centre back and zipSew the centre back seam from the hem up to the zip notch. Press it open and sew the zip in above the notch.
- Side seamsSew the side seams. Neaten and press.
- WaistbandFold the waistband in half lengthwise and press. Sew one edge to the waist, matching the centres and the side seams, fold it over the seam, close the ends and stitch it down from the outside. Add a buttonhole and button or a hook and bar.
- HemNeaten the raw edge, turn up the hem allowance and stitch it by hand or machine.
- PressPress the finished garment with a cloth over the right side.
